Accounts Payable Administrator - Heathrow

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our UK head office team at Heathrow Airport.

About the role:

The jobholder will manage weekly and monthly supplier statement requests and perform reconciliation to ensure the ledger is up to date. They will process supplier invoices, resolve queries, and assist finance management in delivering timely and correct payment of supplier invoices.


The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar role. They will be a hands-on proactive person with strong organisation and time management skills, and be able to work to tight deadlines under pressure.


What you’ll do:

  • Sort, code, review and post invoices in both manual ad digital environments

  • Match invoices against POs and investigate and resolve differences

  • Request credit notes from suppliers as appropriate

  • Resolve “on-stop” accounts promptly

  • Reconcile purchase ledger accounts with supplier statements and investigate and resolve differences

  • Prepare and execute weekly supplier payment runs for review and sign off

  • Ensure the company’s internal control processes are consistently applied in relation to supplier payments

  • Send payment remittances to suppliers

  • Investigate payments on the purchase ledger where no invoice is matched

  • Record and allocate bank transactions from bank statements and reconcile bank account details daily

  • Control GRNI accounts

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by highlighting system errors and identifying improvement to ways of working

  • Support the annual audit process


What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role (desirable)

  • Experience in a fast paced and dynamic business environment

  • Basware, SAP and Microsoft Navision experience (desirable)

  • Intermediate excel skills (Pivot tables, look-up functions)
